Organisation'Religion Matters' - Public Lecture Series
University of Groningen, February - June 2024 (first run). University of Groningen, October - January 2025 (second run) Why did 16th-century Christians immerse themselves in Islam? What were robots doing in medieval gardens? Is the Dutch nitrogen crisis a climate-induced conflict? What does fandom mean to fanfiction writers? Which insights can medieval anti-Jewish manuscripts yield for us now? Through monthly lectures, scholars from the Faculty of Religion, Culture and Society will answer these and other questions, showcasing the wealth of topics that researchers pursue at our Graduate School. The language of each lecture varies and there will be (free) drinks and nibbles at the end of every lecture.
